About Us

A mama, a daddy two toddlers and a preteen. Learning from life living with freedom to be ourselves. We strive to parent peacefully. We unschool. We’re in the process of discovering how to co-exist in a family with different personalities and a world full of even greater variety.

Thanks for sharing this Amy, and please continue to do so. I so identify with your situation and it is good to know someone who is having some similar parenting experiences and coming at them from a similar perspective. I caught a glimpse of D yesterday, so big and mature and yet so much still a kid and really felt for the first time his complete separateness from me, that full force awareness that he is completely his own person, of course he always has been, but it just feels so much more real now that he is in the thick of that process of developing a sense of self. It’s so hard to articulate but I think you know what I mean.
